Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about how Vroomcard works. For legal topics, see Imprint and Privacy policy.
-
What is Vroomcard?
Vroomcard is a free in-browser tool to design a vertical car "trading card" with your specs and photo. You see a live preview, then download a high-resolution PNG for social media or sharing.
-
Do I need an account?
No. Everything runs in your browser. You don't log in and we don't create a Vroomcard profile for you. If a paid or Pro option appears in the future, we may offer optional sign-in for convenience, but the core tool can stay usable without an account.
-
Is my photo or card data uploaded to your server?
Your photo and form inputs are processed locally in your browser to build the preview and the downloaded image, as described on the main page and in our privacy policy. That reduces server-side storage of your personal car photos, but your device and network still work normally when you load the site.
-
What size and format is the download?
The card is exported as a PNG at 1080×1350 pixels — a common shape for vertical posts (for example Instagram-style portrait frames).
-
Which browsers are supported?
Recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari usually work best. The download step uses canvas rendering; if something fails, try another browser, disable heavy extensions, or use a smaller image file.
-
How do theme colors work?
Theme color buttons (red, blue, yellow, white) change accent styling on the card — borders, highlights, and the glow effect around the photo area in the preview. Pick the look that fits your build.
-
My preview looks right but the downloaded image looks wrong — why?
Usually it's fonts not fully loaded, a very large image, or a browser quirk. Try waiting a second after the page loads, then download again. If fonts were still loading, the export might have used fallback text styling. Reducing photo size or zoom/pan can also help on slower devices.
-
Can I use the card on Instagram, TikTok, or my website?
You can use the PNG you create for personal or promotional posts. We don't grant rights to the Vroomcard logo, third-party trademarks, or other people's photos — use only content you're allowed to show. For commercial use of the tool itself, check future terms if we add Pro or paid features.
-
Is there a Pro version?
A Pro tier with extra styles (more borders, animations, etc.) may be offered later. The main page stays focused on the free generator; any paid option will be announced clearly when it's available.
-
How can I get help or report a problem?
If something breaks, note your browser and device, and what you clicked before the error. Contact details for legal and privacy topics are in the Imprint. For product feedback, use whichever channel we list there or on the homepage when we add one.
